Meet the Team
Antrobus was established in the early 1990s and acquired by Mike in April 2006. He has a B.Sc. in Economics from London University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having qualified with Touche Ross & Co (now part of Deloittes) in London in 1978. He spent 6 years in the profession in the UK and Brussels, before going into industry. After 25 years in senior industry roles, notably in US IT companies, he returned to his roots, bringing with him the wide ranging commercial experience he gained over the years.
Sarah has worked for Antrobus since 1997 when she joined us straight from university having gained an HND in Business and Finance. She is a fully qualified Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA). Sarah is Accounts and Audit Manager at Antrobus.
Becky is a qualified Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA). Her main duties involve audit & accounts preparation, company administration, and VAT. Becky graduated from Portsmouth University with a BSc in Mathematics for Finance and Management and joined us in 2002 after working in the payroll department of a busy employment agency.
Rob joined Antrobus in July 2008 as a Trainee Accountant after completing his A Levels. He is AAT qualified and is currently studying towards his ACCA qualification.
Clive joined Antrobus in October 2008. Clive has over 25 years experience in personal taxation, learning the trade at HMRC before moving into private practice. He spent 13 years working at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young before moving to Antrobus.
Sue qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1976 with a small practice in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. She joined Tarver Deakin (later to become Antrobus) in 1990 working mainly in the tax department. She left in 2002 when she relocated to The Netherlands with her husband. Sue returned to the area in 2009 and joined Antrobus as Tax Assistant again in 2010.
Amanda has been with Antrobus for almost 11 years, following a career in Education. She works as Business Centre Supervisor, looking after reception and managing our tenants and mail and telephone accommodation clients. Amanda also administers First Friday, a not-for-profit monthly lunchtime networking organisation for local business people.
Shirley joined Antrobus in August 2002 as a part-time Bookkeeper and Administrator, using MYOB accounts and various software packages. Previously, Shirley was a bank clerk for over 15 years. After leaving the bank in 1998 she helped run her husband’s business for 4 years using Sage Line 50 accounts. She is married to Peter and they have 3 grown up children and 2 grandchildren.
Mike has worked in support roles for Accountancy Software Solutions for the past four years and has gained a great deal of experience in providing the best level of support and customer satisfaction possible. He has worked in the IT and Software industry since graduating with a BSc Hons in IT and Society from the University of Portsmouth in 2004.
Daniel joined Antrobus in October 2010 having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009. He has worked in accounts practice since graduating from the University of Bath in 2006, where he obtained an honours degree in Mathematical Sciences.
Debbie joined Antrobus in September 2010 as PA to Director, Mike Kirby and to carry out client bookkeeping. She is AAT qualified and has previously done accountancy work for a variety of companies and charities. She worked for Gibson Gammon Residential Lettings Ltd for 6 years where she became Office Manager carrying out a variety of administrative and accountancy duties.
Clare joined Antrobus in May 2011 as Payroll Manager. Clare has spent the past 5 years working as the Payroll Manager for recruitment agencies, running payroll for up to 1700 employees per week within the construction industry and agricultural industry. Clare is currently studying for her CIPP.
