HMRC'S increased powers

Through HMRC, the government has increased the powers available to inspect business premises. They have also established a new penalty structure based on subjective ‘reasonable care’ clauses. These penalties can be complicated, and require our involvement. These new powers and penalties have the potential to seriously jeopardise UK businesses, and tax experts warn that an increasingly desperate Revenue will drag more innocent taxpayers into lengthy investigations.

What is fee protection?

The Premier Protection Service offered by CCH will pay for all our fees in the event of an HMRC tax enquiry or HMRC dispute. This peace-of-mind tax service has been designed to ensure you achieve the best result in the event that you have an investigation, aspect enquiry or dispute with HMRC.

This service is available to any of our clients for whom we prepare a tax return, including Limited Companies, Partnerships, Sole Traders and Private Tax clients.
